Concert: Cancelled
Dec. 9th, 2005 03:12 pmI got up at my usual time and came in to work after I determined the roads weren't all that bad. Indeed, the further south I went, it was more rainy and wet than snowy & icy. I figured the concert tonight at Villa Julie would go on as scheduled, because I didn't see the school listed in any of the cancellation notices.
Then I called the weather hotline there, just to make sure. Silly me, I should have remembered, I'm in Maryland, state of dandelions. The college is closed and all activities are cancelled. They even mention the concert specifically to say there's no make-up date yet.
The reason it bugs me is that the make-up date probably won't be for another month at this rate, and I'm pretty much sick of playing the same music for the last three months. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being in the group (still), I just wanted to close the book on this semester. And, of course, have something to do for this evening.
