Habits Meme
Dec. 9th, 2005 08:58 amGround Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a lj entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
Thanks a bunch,
danceswithcats1. I don't usually respond to tagging, so maybe I can come up with five things.
1. This is one I sort-of share with Paul. When I put CDs back in the jewel cases or in my travel folder, they have to be turned label right-side up. In the travel case, they're grouped by genre, but the rest are completely unorganized.
2. I "rotate" my dishes, glassware, and silverware. Meaning, after washing, I put the clean plate or fork on the bottom of the stack so I'm always taking a fresh one off the top. This would be instead of always using the same plate or glass over and over.
3. In my office building, there are several exterior doors you have to go through to get to different parts. They all have deadbolt locks with a flat handle on the inside that turns through about 720° (as opposed to the kind that only turn 90° or so). Every time I go through one of these doors, I have to turn the handle so that it's in the straight up-and-down position, where it will "stick".
4. I'm not sure I'd call it a "weird" or "quirky" habit because a lot of people are the same way, but I'm a little obsessive about taking care of my violin. When I'm done playing, I always wipe down the strings, neck, and fingerboard, making sure to scrape off all traces of rosin. Sometimes I'll even clean the strings with alcohol when I get home. The polishing clothes have to be folded in just the right way. Thus, it takes me twice as long as other people to put away my instrument. I don't even like to leave it in the car, so I've been known to take it into restaurants, malls, other concerts, etc.
5. I always check my e-mail accounts, friends lists, comics, and other routine web surfing in the same order each morning. If I somehow miss a day, I feel lost.
I haven't been paying attention to who's done this already, so I don't know who to tag. In no particular order:
novajay927,
lehaha3586,
violaman,
justplainbryan, and, oh.....
karlgrenze.
