Awesome! (Another orchestra update)

av8rmikeOne of the other first violinists in the main orchestra decided she didn't like the music for this weekend's children's concert, so decided not to play it. At Sunday's Nutcracker rehearsal, her stand partned said I could sit with her... in the second stand of first violins. So I get to play in front of all the kids while sitting third chair first.
OK, to me, it's a big deal, even if it is by default. The only problem with sitting right behind the concertmistress is that I now have to be really accurate, but the music this time around is really hard. We'll see how this one turns out by Saturday.
