Does it mean something bad if all your food tastes a particular way? Occasionally everything has a metallic taste. Today, for a change, everything I've eaten has kind of a moldy taste. The bagels and the bread are both fresh; I'd find it hard to believe both were beginning to sprout.

OMG! [livejournal.com profile] eight_fifteen said that the metallic taste to food was a symptom of an attack of some sort of palsy that she has. She had that symptom last week and went to a doctor to get a shot of cortisone to ward off an attack.

There's a taste I always get right before I come down with a cold, I call it the sick taste, but it's a little on the moldy side. I feel 100% fine, but everything I eat has a hint of that taste. It's never meant anything worse than a head cold.

Hmm. You might want to check your tongue for mold.

Would Moldy Tongue be a possible band name?

Seriously, my dentist says that when tastes become "off" it's indicative of other things wrong in one's system.
