Stupid Traffic

And then sometimes it seems like it's never my day... I was supposed to have a violin lesson today at 5:00, so I left work at 4, which under normal circumstances, would be plenty of time to get back into the city. Only stupid me didn't check the traffic reports, where I would have read that there was a big accident on the Beltway where I needed to be if I went one way, or that traffic was slow on just about every road getting into the city. Then they said there was a Ravens game tonight, which also makes things slow. I finally got home at 5:15, after trying to call my teacher twice, so I'll probably get a call from her tomorrow. How come on the one day I need to be in the city in a hurry is the day all hell breaks loose?
