I don't usually post about local news stories, but I heard about this one on 98 Rock this morning, and it's the greatest story EVER.

[Naked] City man pulled 3 times out of Liberty Reservoir

A 39-year-old Baltimore man was pulled from the waters of Liberty Reservoir three times yesterday, the last time after police tried to rescue him in a commandeered bass boat that sank under his estimated 300 pounds, police and fire officials said.

EDIT:
Baltimore County Police spotted a car listed as "missing" near the reservoir, belonging to the man in question. His family had reported the car missing because they believed he was possibly suicidal. The officers spotted the naked man in the shallower waters of the reservoir, and waded in to retrieve him. They got the man into an ambulance, which began crossing the bridge.

The man began arguing with the paramedics, who stopped the ambulance to see what was going on. The man jumped out and went to the edge of the bridge, threatening to jump. While officers tried to talk him down, he either fell or jumped, but wound up back in the water.

The three officers (two BCPD and a state trooper) enlisted the help of a nearby bass fisherman to rescue the man, but the boat was too small to accomodate all five men, and sank. Finally, a water-rescue unit from the fire department pulled all five of them from the water (but not all at once). I'm sure after all that, he was securely strapped down in the ambulance before getting him to the hospital.

You know, when I click on that it says it's registration required.... which I expect, no problem. But in the email address field... well, there's something there! Is it yours? Maybe the specific link you provided is for you personally?

That's a distinct possibility. Stupid registration stuff... maybe I'll copy the article and put it under a cut tag.

Did it begin with a "b"? Heh.

Cutting pasting tagging might be the best option.

To solve your registration woes, use Firefox and the BugMeNot extension. When you get to a page that asks for a login, just right-click and the extension fills in a login for you.

I love the story. Does the bass fisherman get compensated for his lost boat?

Thinking back to marine activities with the fire company-I'd laugh when 6 n00bs hop in the boat. And where will we put the person we're hoping to assist, kids? Duh expression. 3 of you, get out. :D
