Weekend Concert...

av8rmikeYep, if it's Tuesday, it's time for my update from the weekend. I had my concert in Columbia, of course, and both my parents and my stepmother came to hear. I think Mom liked it, but Dad had to be a bit more critical. He noticed the shortcomings in the brass section and thought the soloist was "better than the piece". All that said, it's still far ahead of what the Philharmonia sounds like. Anna also came, and she got to meet my family. They seemed to like her, but I said not to get too attached.
Sunday Mom and I checked out the Belvedere Square market, especially Greg's Bagels, with its dozen different kinds of smoked salmon. She liked it, but had to get on the road because she was meeting an old friend for dinner at home. So I went over to Dad's place for dinner. No steak this time, just spaghetti, but that doesn't matter.
Oh, something else about the orchestra: they announced the schedule for next season, and if they can get even half the music they announced, it'll be an awesome season. I'm looking forward to it already, but I'm not spoiling the surprise!
Now that I have a little more time, I'm going to try to update more often.
