This Week

I decided to watch the season premier of "24" last night, even though I'm not going to be able to watch the rest of the season if it's all on Monday nights. I watched almost all of the first season, but got too bored with the second season to watch the third. As usual, last night's episodes required too much suspension of disbelief and had too much time manipulation. I guess I'll just have to follow the threads if I want to know what happens.

Saturday night Dayna and I hung out with my AA/PG county crew at a Thai restaurant near where I used to live. The food was OK, but wasn't worth the frustration of them screwing up our table seating, our orders, and having to wait hours for our meals. I won't be going back there, considering how many better Thai restaurants are within walking distance of my place.

Since this is concert week in Columbia, it's going to get really busy. So far, I have:

• Rehearsal in Columbia tonight,
  
• Philharmonia rehearsal tomorrow night,
  
• My "Lost"/"West Wing"/"Good Eats" TV block Wednesday night,
  
• Dress rehearsal in Columbia Thursday,
  
• Lúthien's birthday party Friday,
  
• and the concert Saturday.

I already said so in her journal, but congratumalations to Stacey on her graduitation! I know you'll make a great edumacator!

At our dinner Saturday night, my friend Melissa asked if the two of us were "together". When we said yes, Melissa's response was "finally, he's been complaining about being single as long as I've known him."
