Sep. 10th, 2004 11:38 pmI had three bananas that went all squishy on me, so I did what Mom always did: bake banana bread. Of course, not having a bread pan would be a bit of a hindrance, so I went out to Target tonight and bought one, with some other stuff I needed. I was afraid it would turn out chewy because the batter was getting glutenous, but it turned out wonderfully! I had to cut into it while it was still warm because I couldn't resist anymore.
This weekend could shape up to be very fun. We'll see before I write any more. =)

Date: 2004-09-18 08:50 am (UTC)Did you know that when the bananaa are turning black and you don't have time to use them that moment you can just pop them in the freezer whole? They will go ahead and turn black but no harm done. When you're ready to bake, you can just peel them and they'll thaw in a few minutes ready to make muffins or bread.
I loved this hint when I found it and I thought you might too.
