Return of the King gets off to a rather inauspicious start, but once it gets going, it never lets up. Thrills, chills, spills--

Ah, screw it. So many weblogs are going to be filling up with every fanboys' review and complaints about Peter Jackson's treatment that me not posting one won't matter. Besides, it's late and my ass is hurting. That was one long sit.

I'll probably have better comments in the multitudes of threads that will spring up in the next while, but until then, I'll say that it was super awesome, except for the parts where it seemed to drag on too long. Theoden death scene, I'm looking at you.

Oh, and if [livejournal.com profile] gobear is reading, stick to your guns in the Pit fanboy thread. These people just don't get how good we've all got it.

I haven't yet seen ROTK, but from the first two, I'm not exactly impressed with "how good we've all got it."

I saw FOTR twice - the second time mostly just to critique it. I haven't been able to force myself to watch it again, even though I've been given the freakin' DVD. And I can't imagine wanting to see TTT a second time.

I'll expand on this in my own journal, I think.

I can't go see it until the 26th but I am so ready. In fact, we watched TTT Tuesday night just to refresh our memories and get in the mood. :o)

How violent/graphic was it? I have allowed our 7 year old to watch the other 2 movies (only after I saw them first) and he is driving me nuts asking if he can see ROTK.
