Still at work...

Just a quick update while I'm sitting at my desk. I don't have too many definite plans for the weekend. I have some time reserved in a plane for Sunday morning, now all I have to do is figure out where I want to go! As usual, nothing for Saturday night, but I think Lúthien is coming back into town that day. Maybe I can talk her into something.

Rosebud has been in the shop since Tuesday for a bow re-hair and overall cleaning, and I still have yet to get a call about it. That means I probably won't get it back until Monday evening, so only two nights' worth of practicing before my next lesson.

I'm going off to a Shabbat dinner tonight at D.'s apartment, but I feel like such a moocher since I never bring food to her events. At Pesach I was at least able to bring some folding chairs, but I can't even do that this time. I'll go over early and see if I can make a run to the store or something for them.

My poor violin. She is sad and lonely because now, in addition to the bridge breaking, the soundpost is just rolling around between her ribs. That's new and exciting for me.

Bring applesauce. I'm just saying this because my throat hurts, though, so probably not the best advice.

Eep! I'd take that to a dealer to get fixed, sooner rather than later. I know you're not playing it, but without the soundpost in place, the top will start to sag and change the whole shape of the body. Sometimes it's good, but I wouldn't think it is for an extended period of time.
