d) Tell you a memory I have of you.
e) Ask you something I've wanted to know about you.
f) Tell you my favorite userpic from your list.

Date: 2008-10-16 10:30 pm (UTC)b. Purple for color, of course. For "song", maybe Bach's A minor violin concerto?
c. Everything? I don't know how I could pick one thing. I like how we continually find that we're interested in the same things.
d. Oh come now, you didn't give one, so I won't either. :P
e. We've been over this, too. There's hardly anything we don't know about each other.

Date: 2008-10-16 10:48 pm (UTC)b. Zebra Cakes! I think of you every time I see them in the store, for some reason.
c. You may beat yourself up sometimes in Support, but I like how you've pursued goals in many different categories.
d. It's Support-related, so I really can't talk about it publicly. =(
e. Hmmmm... how long have you & Brian been together? How did you meet?
f.
g. Am I really the first of your friends to post this?

Date: 2008-10-16 11:31 pm (UTC)a. Didn't you friend me first? I can't remember. If I did, it was probably because of the common interests, like Judaism and Pittsburgh (where I lived for four years).
b. German. See e.
c. I always like reading posts from the crafty folks on my friends list, as well as posts about food-y stuff.
d. You were one of the first people in
e. I didn't quite understand why you want to change everything to German, though (in retrospect, it might have been easier to just change your i18n layer in Customize Options (http://www.livejournal.com/customize/options.bml). What's with all the German?
f.
g. Your turn?
re:
Date: 2008-10-16 11:49 pm (UTC)d. aww... you did help me out, and I do still use the knowledge I gained- I make communities I work with (well, the ones I'm still active with) awesomer!
e. I'm first generation german-american on my mothers side (second gen polish american on my fathers), and grew up speaking german in the home. Over the years, I started losing my german vocabulary and skills, so I started actively working to maintain what I have. Since I cannot immerse myself in real life, I do so as much as I can online, without making my online life too much more difficult. Incidentally- I do have my language in the basic settings set to german as well...
f. It's from an advertisement in an old sears catalog... I'll see if I still have the whole ad image somewhere.
g. keep your eyes peeled on my LJ!

Date: 2008-10-17 12:20 am (UTC)b. Green. If I recall correctly, your layouts always feature green.
c. I like the way you draw. Even though I'm an engineer and have an uncle who's a graphic designer, I can't draw or paint for crap, so I tend to admire those who can.
d. That time we climbed Pike's Peak in that rented SUV.
e. I could probably find out by going through your history, but how did you get started with LJ?

Date: 2008-10-17 09:59 pm (UTC)I applied for the internship position at 6A, which didn't say it would be for LJ specifically, but when I found that out at the interview, I got even more excited about it. They seemed to really like me (http://chasethestars.livejournal.com/468096.html), but then picked someone else. Which worked out for the better actually because then I finished school. A few months later, they contacted me to do some themes for the then-secret Vox, and after that I got hired full time and started at LJ!

Date: 2008-10-17 12:47 am (UTC)b. *A* fandom? I think you have them all. If I have to pick one, it'll be Doctor Who, of course.
c. You're a lot of fun to talk to. I like how I can make you laugh.
d. Live-blogging "The Doctor's Daughter" and a few others.
e. Where did you learn your graphic skills?

Date: 2008-10-30 11:51 pm (UTC)In high school back in 1993 I was majoring in Art. I was in a select group of students that were allowed to take "Computer Graphics" as an elective. We learned how to use I think Photoshop 3.0 or 2.5 or something. I've been doing it ever since, and getting better and better all the time.
a) you friended me first, so I returned the favor. Plus you didn't seem crazy. I have a strict no crazy people on my flist rule.
b) My hatred for Keanu Reeves.
c) I can not talk to you for like weeks and weeks and it's still okay for me to IM you out of nowhere and tell you something APPARENTLY you already knew. Your annoyances at work amuse as well.
d) The million questions I put into S2E for help.
e) Dude I ask you stupid things all the time. How long have you been playing Violin for. There.

Date: 2008-10-17 01:09 am (UTC)b. Dragonflies. Every time Jamie and I are someplace crafty and there's something with a dragonfly on it, she says "Kathy would love this."
c. Firedancing sounds pretty cool.
d. That time we drove out west on Route 66.
e. Why do you think you and Jamie have managed to stay such close friends after all this time?
f. I guess the dragonfly one, but none of them are actually loading.

c. It may sound silly, but you make me laugh a lot in #lj_support.
d. That time you came all the way to DC and I couldn't go.
e. I have you credited as the maker of the top icon on this comment, but did you actually make it?
f.
g. OK, now you have to do it. The meme says so!
