A key in your wallet is a good thing to have. Lock shops even have flexible plastic keys that would quickly wear out on a daily use basis, but are dandy when you've just committed an awshit.
I can't exactly stop you. It was bound to happen eventually, as this is now the third time I've had to call the insurance company needing roadside assistance. I wonder if they'll send the same guy.
At least you didn't lock the door manually with the engine running like I did. I had my key-clicker and thought that would work! Aww it does not! Of course reasons behind said 'start car-lock-doors' was because I was trying to get the hell out of the place I was at, and of course I'd left something in the guys apartment. I sat outside in the cold once I called AAA because I was NOT sitting in his place.
I was trying to get out of the rain this morning, and carry a bunch of crap at the same time. First time in like 15 years I've managed to lock my keys inside something (either car, dorm, apartment, house).
Said law had better leave me alone. Just since November, I've also needed help getting it started and had a flat tire (http://av8rmike.livejournal.com/184184.html), all of which has happened for the first time.
I locked my keys in the car at school a week ago. I don't even have an excuse. Me: *turn off car, toss keys in purse* Hmm... I probably don't need to take my purse to class with me. *grab school bag, lock door, proceed to Ethics*
Yes, I do have a spare key. I keep it in my wallet. IN MY PURSE.
I'm an effin' genius.
Fifty bucks to have somebody drive about a mile to spend <5 minutes getting into my car but my insurance company reimbursed me so I'm not too upset about it. Still, that's like robbery. For real.
