Dec. 12th, 2003 10:00 pmThe co-worker that I spoke about a few days ago came back to work today, even though we weren't expecting him until Monday. He said that he couldn't hang around his house any more because everything reminded him of his wife and he needed something to occupy himself. He said getting back to the routine would help. I expressed how sorry I was, but how uncomfortable I'd have been at the funeral. There were about 8 other people from the office that did go, and he said it was standing room only at the church. I told him that it was better than nobody showing up.
Stacey, Marc, and I, and possibly others, were supposed to go to this concert tonight, but they bailed because of finals kicking everyone's asses. So instead Brielle, Julia, and her boyfriend Mark drove down from Hopkins to my neighborhood and we ate at an Indian restaurant. I pretty much only talk to them on IM now so it was fun to talk face-to-face. They had to go back and study for finals too. That's one part of college I don't miss.
Oh, and last night's lesson went better than last week's. I still can't seem to get rid of those double-stopped scales, though. And on top of everything else, I got a pair of etudes to work on. Looks like it's going to be a fun week, but at least I don't have much else going on, for better or worse.
