Good Football Weekend
Oct. 3rd, 2006 11:17 amSo, not only did I win the office football pool for last weekend (12/14 correct picks), but my fantasy football team won its second game in a row, evening the record to 2-2. The team was also the second-highest point scorer of the week, behind only
Phil, somehow. He doesn't even have Peyton Manning this year! (Which makes me wonder how he did last year.)

He's a three-time Super Bowl winner, a two-time SB MVP, and he's a first-ballot Hall of Famer in the prime of his career. Pennington is a decent QB with a bum shoulder and a shaky team. One hit and he could be done for the year. Brady's your guy.

I don't know the teams' schedules, but if the Jets are playing the Texans and the Pats are facing the Ravens, you might want to play Pennington because the Ravens have a much better defense. But if you want to avoid overthinking and save yourself time, just play Brady every week. Look at my team: I've got McNabb and Rex Grossman. I could play either one, but I'll stick with McNabb because he's got a consistently better record as a QB than Grossman, and I know McNabb can run the ball as well as throw it. I can leave McNabb in there and figure out who to play at WR every week.
