Dad gave me some dill-covered salmon, which I poached with some nice Pinot Gris that I had bought for Jamie's last visit. Sorry you couldn't have been here to have some with me.

Except I think I swallowed a bone. I hope it doesn't do too much damage on its way through. =(

Oohhhh, dill-covered? Yum, that sounds good.

Fish bones, luckily, are pretty pliable, and shouldn't do too much damage on the way through.

I have a big salmon fillet with which I need to find something to do. I was thinking some kind of dill-ish thing. It's frozen...should I hang on to it till you get here?

Sunday's dinner there was almost 3 pounds of salmon, which they must have bought in bulk. Dad gave me about 3/4 pound, seasoned like the rest of it.

As for your salmon, I guess it depends how big is "big" and how long it's already been frozen. The flavor and texture may suffer after two weeks, and it's not like we can't get more, right?

Don't expect me to cook for your next gathering, though!
