I made an appointment with a doctor at the Hand Center of Union Memorial Hospital. The bad news is the first available appointment is next Wednesday morning, so I have to deal with these problems for another week.

Passover starts next Monday. The grocery store was selling 5 1-lb. boxes of matzah for $4.00, reduced from $11. So of course, I bought one. To quote South Park's Kyle, "damn my Jew blood!"

Anybody want a pound of matzah? I'm going to have this stuff until next year.

I just moved last month, and when I did I threw out three boxes of matzah and two boxes of matzah meal left over from last year.

Five pounds is a bit much, but one of my favorite snacks is matzah with peanut butter on it. It's great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or late at night. I recommend creamy peanut butter, as it spreads more easily on the matzah than the crunchy kind. Since I usually eat only a few matzahs out of a box of 10-12 during the holiday, I find myself eating the rest with peanut butter well into the summer. However, it looks like you'll be enjoying it for the next five years.

Other ideas:
Matzah brei for 100 of your closest friends. Get a big skillet.
Build a little fort in your living room
Decorate a wall with a matzah mosaic
Make your own boxes for shipping Hanukkah presents

I'll think of some more.
