Mar. 26th, 2004 01:30 pmYesterday was a surprisingly good day. I say "surprising" because it was going to be insanely busy. I had a lesson after work, a party after that, and a rehearsal from 10-12. I'd have skipped the party, but I'd bought the ticket a few weeks earlier and figured I'd at least get my money's worth. By and large, it sucked, but I did meet a few interesting people that I think I'll be hearing from again.
Note to self: Breath mints don't work that at covering up the smell of beer, especially when in a singing group.
My lessons are going pretty well, but I have random pains in my hand that don't go away for several days. What I really need is a vacation away from both the computer and violin.
I ran into my neighbor, the cute oboe player, and had a nice conversation with her. Her apartment is also freezing, like mine, and thus has extraordinary heating bills. She couldn't think of any violin/oboe duets but there might be a few out there. Unfortunately, she's leaving in May to go back to NYC.
That's all I can think of for now.
