I find this interesting...

Several people now have complimented me on my photographs, not just saying "they look pretty" and stuff, but that they're good examples of photography and art. It's interesting because I know very little about the science and methods of taking pictures, things like exposure settings, depth of field, and composition. I've never even taken a class. I usually would see something I liked, move around a little until it looked like I wanted, and snap a picture. I know nothing about using Photoshop; all my recent pictures were touched up a little in Picasa to bring out some of the color contrast, but that's it. What pains me is all the pictures I couldn't take in Korea, either because I was in a car or train and wasn't fast enough or something would get in the way.
Anyway, had a pretty good weekend, despite my original plans not coming to fruition. Friday night had the last regular semester concert at Villa Julie. It's a good thing I practiced all that Mozart stuff because at times I think no one else was playing. :P Still, people said they enjoyed the concert, and I got to go out with Katie and Eric afterwards. Their 4-month-old son is a total woman magnet. =)
Saturday I did some volunteer work with the club for Baltimore Reads, a local charity that collects children's books for needy kids. After sitting in the sun there for a while, I also checked out the flower mart at the Washington Monument... and wound up with a nice sunburn. In the evening I met up with
fuzzy_gizmo and crew in DC, playing games until the wee hours. Unfortunately, the hours got even more wee by the time I got home, owing to the accident that closed down the Parkway for half an hour. At least I didn't have anything I needed to be up for yesterday.
