I wish I'd had my camera last night. Before rehearsal started, the region was under a tornado watch. People came in talking about how dark the sky was, so I had to run out and take a look. There were huge swirling, black clouds everywhere. [livejournal.com profile] tidesong, you'd have loved it.

My left hand hurts. Maybe I can use that to get out of my lesson, because I didn't practice and don't really want to go. I have an eye doctor appointment later, and if there's enough time, I may go bow shopping.

Holy cow, I hadn't heard anything about that. However, it rained so hard over here - just out of nowhere, it seemed - that it sounded like hail.

People were walking into rehearsal 10 minutes later, wet and describing "significant hail". Which, to Marylanders, was about pea-sized.

One, back home in PA, I got caught in a storm of Superball-sized hail. That I'd describe as "significant".

I've seen giant hail before. In the late summer, near when we start harvest in Southern Alberta. The dust from the harvesting goes up and makes the hail. It hurts. A lot.

Ooohhh, swirling black clouds! Sounds fun ;)

What'd you do to your left hand? Just fatigue soreness?

Possibly a fatigue/stress combination. It's actually fairly common for me after a long night of practicing without enough breaks. With enough Advil, it goes away by the evening, but as of now it's still bothering me a bit. Truth is, I just don't want to waste my time and money at a lesson tonight.
