av8rmikeRehearsal was cancelled tonight because of some kind of water leak at the high school. The director must have called three times to tell me about rehearsal being cancelled. So, it's just next Sunday's concert, and I'm done with the BPO for the year. I'm trying to get a few of the other younger string players to do some kind of quartet/chamber playing over the summer, so we'll see how that goes. A few of us are also going to check out this Villa Julie group on Friday.
I came home from work at about 2:00 because I was still feeling sick and wasn't getting anything done. I tried to get some sleep, but the damn phone kept ringing. Yesterday, I'd briefly considered taking the day anyway and driving down to Norfolk for the funeral, but I don't think I felt well enough today to make it.
I could use the time now to practice, but it's a little hard without a music stand, and I doubt I could concentrate that well tonight, anyway. At least the matzah ball soup I made for dinner was good, and I have enough for like 3 dinners.
