Random Shout-outs and ruminations...

av8rmikeI guess there are still a few bases left to cover from the weekend.
I took a picture of the Empire State Building Saturday morning, since it was a block from my hotel. I felt so guilty doing it too, because, as everyone knows, we're not allowed to look at things anymore, and we're especially not supposed to photograph them.
I also photographed the interior of Grand Central Station, and took a picture of a young British couple on vacation (with their camera, of course). They were visiting from the West Country and had crammed about a week's worth of activities into four days. They seemed relieved to meet a friendly stranger.

nyctea, her un-affiliated friend Brian, anitavacation, and opalcat were my dinner companions at America. Our table was one of the last to get served, and after all that mediocre food and beverage, it still came out to almost $150. After a while in No Idea, Brooke could tell I wasn't having much fun, so her, Brian, and I went back to their hotel to talk. Well, Brian tried to talk, but he had those white strips in his mouth, so could only mumble and gesture.
Other thoughts:
I should start posting more protected entries before anything else I say upsets anyone else. Jenn, thanks for being an adult and not pouring your coffee on my head. =)
Julia, if you're reading, what city are you in now? Is this tour better than the last one?
David W.: You're not a Patriots fan, are you? I'd love to see an upset.
Phil: Told you they weren't all freaks. But if you're going to join, come up with a good handle.
