So, one of the sources of annoyances last Friday was getting a call from BGE Home, who was supposed to come in and fix my oven (It's been broken since before Giftmas). My work is 45 minutes away from home, so when they called me, asking to be let into the building, I told them they were supposed to call the property manager. Apparently there was no answer, so we just made another appointment for Monday morning. An hour later the manager calls me to say he was waiting around all morning for a call that never came, so I told him we'd re-scheduled for Monday.

Well, guess what happens today? I get another call from BGE Home, asking to be let in the building. I tell them to contact the property manager, but no answer. Lather, rinse, repeat; apparently, but no way am I going through this again. This time I get a name & number at BGE, and call the manager myself. He answers immediately, so I pass on the information to him and hopefully they're in my apartment fixing the oven now. Come to think of it, I'm not sure who the "freaking morons" are; If my property manager has some kind of "anonymous call block" on his phone, it might just be him.

On the plus side, I went to Dad's last night for dinner. He made liver & onions, sautéed in ketchup & Worcestershire, and a big pot of mashed potatoes, made with french onion dip. My stepmother gave me a big bag of goodies, including some hot cocoa mix packets. Dad told me that at his office they make it with hot coffee instead of hot water, and I can attest that, boy, is it tasty.

EDIT: The property manager called around quarter of ten to tell me they'd fixed it and everything was working. I just won't be home to use it for the next few nights..

YUCK. I hope you get your oven working. If you like, I could always go down there to meet them, if they didn't get it together today.

I lurves me some cocoa with coffee. That's what I used to drink at work in the winter in Yellowknife. Had to stop when my butt got too big for my pants. Now, I have fat-free cocoa mix. God Bless the USA.

Thanks, but it's taken care of (and I edited the entry).

This is sugar-free cocoa mix, but that's easily fixed.
