That would be like me saying: "Um, I was going to buy this place but instead I rented it, then I went bankrupt, but I still managed to save $5k while paying my rent but not paying my bills so now I will buy it, but like wait, I'm still renting it...capice?"
Well, as was explained to me, that's not that much of a stretch. It's easier to amass that kind of cash once one has filed for bankruptcy because you don't have to pay your bills. Although, why the seller thinks these people are in a better position to buy than I is beyond us.
