Nice to see you here on DW. And yes...the story behind the now unavailable house sounds a bit fishy, indeed. Here's what doesn't add up:
...the seller has finally decided that he's going to rent the house[...]To a couple who supposedly are going to buy after a year of renting and despite "going through bankruptcy" still managed to put a $5,000 deposit on the place.
That would be like me saying: "Um, I was going to buy this place but instead I rented it, then I went bankrupt, but I still managed to save $5k while paying my rent but not paying my bills so now I will buy it, but like wait, I'm still renting it...capice?"
