After so many weekends of having absolutely nothing to do, I was grateful to have a few things to do this past weekend. As is the way with me, it seems that when it rains, it pours. Friday night was
fuzzy_gizmo's housewarming party. His house is cool, and I forsee many more parties to come. =)
Saturday morning I went to the running club, as usual. Except this time, there was almost no one there. Was everyone on vacation this week, or just being lazy? I can see it being like that last weekend over the holiday, but who knows what was going on Saturday. I also went down to the harbor that afternoon (for like, the fifth time in a week) to check out some arts & crafts fair, but it was really small and not very exciting. I did finally get around to cooking this big salmon filet that Dad had given me, and it turned out very well. Then
fuzzy_gizmo called me to ask if I was interested in going to this karaoke party at the house of some of his co-workers. Now that was an interesting time (no, I didn't sing), but as I mentioned to him on the way back, it reminded me why I gave up the hard-partying college lifestyle before I even graduated college. So thanks for two fun times, fuzzy!
Sunday morning I finally made it down to the Baltimore Farmer's Market, which was huge and really neat. Lots of stuff available, but since I can't keep produce around and use it up before it goes bad, I didn't buy much of anything. I also went to this really lame coffeehouse thing, then tried to make chili for the week, but all my produce had turned the wrong colors.
So, my random wonder for the morning: I've been making my French-press coffee the same way for the better part of six months now. Why does it suddenly seem more watery than before?
