At a lunch meeting today, one of my co-workers, who is German, mixed up a half-and-half cocktail of Sunkist and Coke. He claimed it was popular with German kids and had a name, but I didn't catch what he said.

Surprisingly, it's not actually as bad as it sounds.

Sounds very strange, but now is intriguing me. I might have to try it. And then prepare to add rum if I can't finish it. Or maybe just add rum anyway.. ;)

It doesn't sound too bad.
Waaaaay back when, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, there were soda fountains in junior high school cafeterias, and we would regularly mix flavors. The most popular was Sproke, a mix of (obviously) Sprite and Coke.

There may be more than one brand, but the one I drank in Bayreuth was called Spezi. I found it surprisingly good as well. :)
