It's a good idea to check your fantasy lineups on Sunday morning, especially if there are any starters on your team that are listed as "game-time decisions" earlier in the week. But don't sweat it too much. There's only so much you can do, and even if the team says they're going to play someone, that doesn't mean they will, or that the guy will be effective. I don't think Portis is going to play tonight. And long-term, Tom Brady is your better fantasy QB. Remember that Pennington has had 2 shoulder surgeries and not much help on offense, and Brady has won 3 Super Bowls and has one of the best coaches in the game, plus a bunch of great players around him. Each week, you want to play the guys who will give you the best chance to win, and Brady is one of those guys. He may have a bad game once in a while, but he's going to produce FF points most weeks. I realize that I'm saying all of this after winning my first fantasy game this season. I usually start 0-1, so thus far it's all good.
As for the Packers... um, they suck. Don't blame the Bears. It's not all Brett Favre's fault, but he needs to get out of the game. They need to see what Aaron Rodgers can do. It's going to be a long season there, but if they start getting the kid into games now, that will help in the next few years to get the Packers back to winning form.
