Hopkins is on Spring Break this week, and although I'm not a student or tied to their schedule or anything, I feel like I should take a vacation at the same time. Even Stacey is taking a mini-vacation, by house-sitting for her sister. Except she has no cable TV or internet access. [Nelson voice]Ha ha!![/Nelson]
But unfortunately I still have to wrap up stuff with my current project at work, and then it's immediately on to another project. At this rate there may not be another convenient break time until June, when school is finally done.

This week's Annoyance: The light in my bathroom has quit working. There were two good bulbs in it, and the fan and outlets work, so I don't think it's at the breaker. I think maybe the light switch is bad, and since it's a $1 part, I might as well try it.

Over the weekend I picked up, for half price each, Attack of the Clones and the Director's Cut of Star Trek II. I'm such a geek.

You're not a true geek

If you were a real geek, like me, you would have picked up both of those movies two years ago when they first came out on DVD. Get the rest of the Star Trek movies with the original cast, then get back to me about being a geek. I watched the special edition of Star Trek VI last week, and it's worth the price.

BTW, you know this is all in good fun, right?

Also, don't you have a superintendent who fixes stuff in your apartment? You don't own the place, so you shouldn't pay to fix it.

Sorry, we can't all be as geeky as you, Phil. =P

About the movies, it's the conflict between my geek tendancies and my cheapskate tendancies. Cheapskate won out this time.

There is a super, but he seems to be pretty slow to respond to stuff. He still has yet to cash my January rent check! But I know how to do electrical wiring, and a light switch is $0.89. If that doesn't solve the problem, then I'm calling him.
