(no subject)

One of my fellow violinists gave me an Asian pear at rehearsal last night. It's easily the size of a softball. I have no idea how to eat it.

Why, no, I wasn't neglecting my journal(s) for the last 4 days. I was thinking about posting each and every day. =P

Either just nom into it the way you would an apple, leaving just the core, or cut it into quarters and cut out the middle part.

Some people remove the skin; I actually like it. Note that the core is a bit... more sour? tarter? than the rest.

I find it generally tastes more delicious if you bite into it whole, though YMMV :-)

You chop it in half, eat one half lunch, and save the rest for dinner.
