WTFF?

I do not understand how these stupid podcasts work. I subscribed to three different ones last night through iTunes, downloaded them, and synced them to the iPod. I even checked several different times in the iPod menu that there were six items under the main podcast menu on the iPod. I was all set to listen to them here at work, when I go into the main menu and it tells me "no podcasts". They were just there last night, why the hell would it delete them? I thought Apple products were supposed to be user friendly. =(

Yeah, I have no idea why it would clear the Podcasts directory, but I did eventually find the files under "Recently Added"... but only under that playlist. They're not under artist, album, video, or any other directory, and I didn't play the files between last night and this morning.

My podcasts show up "recently added" and under the "Podcasts" heading in the main menu. How did you get them onto your iPod? Did you check the "Sync" box in the Podcast tab when you had your iPod connected (and then resync the iPod)? Or did you just click and drag them onto the iPod? I sync them using the "Sync" checkbox and select "All unplayed episodes." I've never tried dragging them onto the iPod but that looks like it would work, though it might product unusual results (like what you saw).

Don't give up on podcasts because of this. Some of them are really interesting. I love the handful of blues podcasts I listen to each week. I save one for Thursday morning so I have something to listen to while I'm shlepping the viola on the subway.
