WTFF?

I do not understand how these stupid podcasts work. I subscribed to three different ones last night through iTunes, downloaded them, and synced them to the iPod. I even checked several different times in the iPod menu that there were six items under the main podcast menu on the iPod. I was all set to listen to them here at work, when I go into the main menu and it tells me "no podcasts". They were just there last night, why the hell would it delete them? I thought Apple products were supposed to be user friendly. =(

I got a panasonic mp3 mp4 and video player rather than mess around with iTunes. The digital music players that aren't restricted to one site or another always work better from what I've heard, and I haven't had any complaints about mine yet.

I let iTunes automatically download podcasts, but I manually control putting them on the ipod. My ipod is only 4GB so I like to directly manage what I keep on there.

If the "Podcasts" directory is empty, try looking under "Songs" or "Artists" (if you know the artist tag of the podcast). I think that sometimes my ipod "forgets" that my podcasts should be listed under "Podcasts," but the files are still on there. It may have some flag that de-lists podcasts if I've already listened to them.

Try using the Search function to find them. But even if you've listened to them for a second (which clears the little dot that indicates whether the podcast is unplayed or not), the iPod should still show the podcasts in the correct location through the menu. I've never had that happen before and I've been listening to podcasts for years on two different iPods and with 2 different OSes.

Hmm. I haven't played around with Podcasts yet. Maybe I'll start doing that and will have insight after that. :P
