Happy Groundhog Day!

Wow, who knew there was more than one weather-prognosticating groundhog?

Anyway, I guess Phil's prediction of an early spring jives with the latest dire warnings of human-caused global warming. Of course, he's been pretty inaccurate.

I knew there was more than one. But now I'm wondering if that is a complete list of famous weather-prognosticating groundhogs. If so than it is hard to believe that Canada only has one. I am very familiar with Wiarton, and Wiarton Willy.

Wikipedia is authoritative; it is reality that is in error. Hence, Canada has only one groundhog. Prognosticating, anyway.

I also knew about Wiarton Willy. I think of him before the American ones, but I've heard of them.
